OCRSCAN SERVICES FROM DIGITIZATION LEMONJAR

Lemonjar Software Media Sdn. Bhd. would like to bring you a new service of digitization named OCRScan. There has been an increase in the number of people wishing to scan books in recent years, and with that in mind Lemonjar proudly offer a professional scanning service named OCRScan that can be used for a number of reasons. Our scanning service have a wealth of experience in the digitization of original physical documents and we can help you scan and preserve books of historical importance or that contain unique and valuable content. In this OCRScan we provide the total solution to you from workforce until equipment.

  1. Workforce – professional librarian with at least Diploma in Library Science.
  2. Scanners – CZUR M3000 Pro, CZUR ET18 Pro, HP Feeder Scanner.
  3. Computer – at least i7 Gen 10th, 16GB DDR4 RAM, 512GB SSD and 21.5” monitor.
  4. OCR Server – An Intel Xeon server come with OCR software (server version) to run the task of OCR and combining the images 24/7.

Workforce

We would like to offer the professional to assist you to scan your documents and books. Our professionals are consisting of librarians and related profession, because they are the one knows better on documents and books handling during the scanning and digitization. We provide 2 types of professionals, the degree holders and the diploma holders. The degree holder will be assigned as manager to manage the project and metadata tasks, while diploma holder will be assigned as scanning technician.

Scanners

We provide 3 types of scanners in our OCRScan service, which are CZUR M3000 pro, CZUR ET 18 Pro and HP HP ScanJet Enterprise Flow 5000 s5. Each scanner has their own capabilities in scanning tasks. The summary of the comparison among these 3 types of scanners is as follow: –

Computer

Scanner must come with computer to save the scanning results and then process the images. We provide the following technical specification of the desktop computer in our service.

  1. Intel i7 10th Gen or Ryzen 5600, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD
  2. 22″ Monitor
  3. Keyboard & mouse

Standalone Software

CZUR Scanners and HP Scanner are come with their own scanning software and processing software.

For the CZUR scanners, it provides the scanning software, batch image processing software and export software with OCR feature (can be exported in PDF, Searchable PDF, Word, Excel, TIFF and TXT). This standalone software is free and come with CZUR Scanners. All the features and functions above are can be performed in one software.

While for the HP scanner, it also provides the scanning software and export software. For this scanner, it come with HP Scan Premium, HP Scanner Tools Utility, I.R.I.S Readiris Pro, I.R.I.S Cardiris, OpenText ISIS only. It does not come with image processing software. The software is come with HP scanner and it is free.

OCR Server

With OCRScan service, we special develop an OCR Server just to process the OCR and export as PDF or Word and this server is able to process the images 24/7, which will make your digitization work faster. You just need to upload the whole folder with images (already cleaned and processed) to the server, and let the server do the job for OCR, combine into one file in PDF or Word. The server can perform the job in 24/7 even in the night time. The server can accept as many folders as possible and will be queued to process, means you just need to do the scanning and process the images at working time, then upload to the OCR server and let the server do the OCR tasks at the night time.

You don’t want to invest for a short-term project?

Yes, we could assist you in your project by renting our equipment to you in a low rental cost. We have rental period of 3 months, 6 months or even 12 months. All of the equipment that we listed above could be rent out for you in your project, even including the workforce.

The lowest rental rate is as low as RM 367.33 per month.

How to rent the equipment and what we would do?

  1. You just need to contact to us on what equipment you would like to rent and how long is your rental period, via ocrscan@lemonjar.com.my.
  2. We would prepare a quote to you for your perusal.
  3. Once agreed, agreement of rental will be signed for both of the company and 2 months rental as deposit.
  4. We would send the equipment and setup to you at your premise.
  5. A training will be provided to you on how to use the equipment.

Other Related Services

After scanning and have the result of PDF and Word, do you need a system to manage it? You can consider a Digital Repository System. Please contact us for more info. If you want to have a better result than PDF and Word, like eBook, then you could turn your digital copy (PDF and Word) into .epub. The .epub is a ebook format which you could use your e-reader such as iPad, Android tablet, Huawei tablet to read it and add in your own notes, like a real book.
